This page explains what information EduTechToday ("we", "us") collects when you use edutechtoday.com, our free tools and the AI Visibility Toolkit, and what we do with it. The short version: our tools run in your browser, we don't sell your information, and we only keep what we need to deliver what you bought.
1. Information you type into our tools
The free AI visibility tools and the tools inside the AI Visibility Toolkit run entirely in your web browser. When you answer the readiness questions, enter listing details, paste a robots.txt file or fill in any toolkit form, that information is processed on your own device. It is not sent to us or stored on our servers.
The toolkit page saves your checklist progress and form entries in your browser's local storage, so they're still there when you come back. We can't see this data. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for edutechtoday.com.
2. Purchases and free downloads
Payments and free downloads are handled by Gumroad. When you buy from us or request our free checklist, Gumroad collects the details it needs, such as your name, email address, country and payment information. We receive your name, email address, country and what you bought. We never see your full card number. Gumroad's own privacy policy explains how it handles your data.
3. Emails you send us
If you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply and help you. If you buy the AI Visibility Audit, we also keep the business details you send us so we can do the work.
4. Cookies and technical data
- When you enter the password for the toolkit page, WordPress sets a cookie so you don't have to type it on every visit.
- Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) for security and to keep the site running.
- We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our pages. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed and general location. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies.
5. How we use your information
- To deliver the products and services you bought, and give you access to them.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To send you updates about the toolkit you bought, such as a changed access password.
- To send occasional emails about our products, if you downloaded a free resource or bought from us. Every email lets you unsubscribe.
- To keep records we're required to keep for tax and accounting.
6. Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with the services we use to run the business: Gumroad (payments and email delivery), our web host, and Google Analytics if it's enabled. We may also share information if the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. We keep emails and audit details for as long as they're useful for supporting you, and delete them when you ask, unless we have to keep them by law.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing emails. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days. If you live in California, the European Union, the United Kingdom or another place with its own privacy laws, you may have additional rights under those laws, and we'll honor them.
9. Children
Our site and products are for business owners and are not meant for children under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
10. Security
Our site uses HTTPS, and payments are processed by Gumroad rather than on our site. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll email customers.
