Verizon Is Rolling Out Its 5G Network to Six New Cities

With 2019 rapidly winding down, it seems to be like Verizon is rolling out its 5G network up till the very end of the year. Yesterday, the corporate launched its 5G Ultra Wideband network in parts of Memphis, Tennessee, and now it’s including another six cities to the checklist. As with all of Verizon’s rollouts up to now, 5G service is only limited to certain parts of those cities, so that you may need to do some traveling before you discover a 5G connection.

The six cities which are getting 5G service right this moment include Charlotte, North Carolina; Greensboro, North Carolina; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Miami, Florida; Salt Lake Metropolis, Utah; and Spokane, Washington. The addition of those six cities brings the whole number of cities that help Verizon 5G up to 28.

Throughout the year, Verizon has been saying that it plans to have 5G service obtainable in 30 US markets by the end of the year. With these six now counting towards that aim, Verizon is still short two cities, so don’t rely on this to be the last 5G announcement the carrier makes in 2019.
